Fiac, YIA Art Fair, Art Elysée… This week the autumn fairs are presenting their visitors with a large selection of modern and contemporary work. It’s a perfect opportunity to see some of Antoni Clavé’s works!
Two works dating from 1958 and 1960 are being shown at Art Elysées on the Jordi Pascual gallery stand until the 24th of October. One is Nature morte, and the other Poisson, both are on a black background and yet they are bright, it’s curious! Although directly influenced by Spanish painterly tradition, they don’t turn their backs on the Ecole de Paris to which Clavé was close… A great way to rediscover this period and to find out a bit more, (re)discover La Nappe on our website.
