In 1934 at only 21 years old, Clavé was starting to earn a living from jobs in advertising, more specifically as a poster designer for cinemas in Barcelona. At the time, there were no “official” posters released in all the movie theatres in which the film would be shown. Clavé joined the “Cinaes” group, and produced new creations every week.

Before the ARCO fair, the Marlborough Gallery has jut opened an exhibition of Antoni Clavé’s works which you can visit and enjoy until March 23. Paintings, sculptures and prints on aluminium, the show proposes a rich and various selection of works from the end of the 1950s till the beginning of the 2000s.    …
